Exactly one week ago, I announced that Comandante had joined The Home Barista Show as a sponsor. That already felt like a turning point. I wasn’t expecting to write another announcement so soon.
But Acaia has come on board.
It is hard to describe what this means to me. Acaia’s tools are used by people who care deeply about coffee. They are not loud or attention seeking. They show up where quality matters. Their presence in a home setup often signals intention. Not just to brew, but to understand.
For Acaia to see the value in this event, and choose to support it, is something.
What Acaia’s support means
Acaia is contributing a Pearl White scale for the next edition of The Home Barista Show. The newest version. With a flow-rate indicator, USB-C charging, and a bright display. It is a tool that makes brewing easier to read and refine. You learn by watching your pour. You adjust by feeling the feedback.
They are also sending branded swag to include in the event’s tote bags. True to form, every item will be practical, well made, and carefully considered.
But what matters most is not what they are giving. It is what their decision says. Acaia could have waited. They chose to act.
How this began
The first Home Barista Show happened in Dubai. When I announced it, there were no confirmed sponsors. It was a risk. I knew what I wanted to build. I didn’t know if anyone else would see the value in it.
But they did. The show sold out. People showed up ready to learn and share. Not just curious. Serious.
A few sponsors came in during the final days. Their support helped, but the response from the community was what proved the point. Home brewers have always been here. They just needed someone to speak their language.
Why Acaia is the right fit
Acaia’s tools are precise without being intimidating. They do not teach through complexity. They teach through clarity. When you use them, you notice more. You think differently. You care about the details.
That is what I want The Home Barista Show to be. Something that respects the attention people bring to their brews. Something that makes room for quiet learning and shared improvement.
Acaia’s involvement reinforces that vision. It adds weight without distraction. It offers support without taking over.

What comes next
More editions are being planned. I am not ready to share the next location just yet. But I know what the next show needs to feel like. Focused. Useful. Built for the people who have always brewed with care, even when no one was watching.
Today, I am just taking a moment to mark what this is. Two of the most respected brands in specialty coffee have now chosen to support a show that was created for home brewers.
Acaia’s decision gives momentum to something that was once just an idea.
To every home brewer reading this, I want you to know one thing. You are the reason this exists. The tools are coming. The community is growing. And the recognition is finally beginning to match the effort.
