If you would like to write an article to be published on FLTR, here’s an FAQ that should answer most of your questions.
What topics are you interested in?
We’re looking for interesting viewpoints related to specialty coffee.
It may be your thoughts on where to find the best coffee in your city. Like this one. Or a tutorial on how to use a pourover dripper. Like this one. Or a review of the history of an aspect of specialty coffee. Like this one. Or the effects of coffee on our mental health. Like this one. Or an interview with an influencer in the coffee space. Like this one.
In other words, we’re open to all of your ideas. As long as it will be an interesting read.
Do you need to be a good writer?
In short, no.
We’ll edit your writing to align with the FLTR look & feel. So you may send bullet-points if that works for you. In our experience though, people who think they are not good writers are, in fact, great writers. We’re more interested in your viewpoint than your command of the English language.
How long should the article be?
At least 1,000 words.
Do I need to include images?
If you have good quality, high resolution photos you’d like to include in the article, send them via a platform like We Transfer, Google Drive or DropBox. If you don’t, we’ll find the appropriate images to include in your article.
Will I be paid for my contribution?
FLTR is a startup and is currently not in a position to accept paid contributions. We have a plan in place for that to happen in future. And are well on our way to realising that plan. You will be credited as the author, the post will include links to your business, blog and/or social media, and the article will be promoted to more than 400,000 social media followers.
