Past Events

No two Home Barista Shows have been exactly the same. Every city has introduced new ideas, new partners and new experiences while staying true to the same mission: creating an event designed specifically for people who make coffee at home.

Dubai

The first Home Barista Show took place in Dubai at Café Rider. It proved there was genuine demand for an event dedicated to home brewers rather than coffee professionals. National barista champions shared their knowledge, visitors explored new equipment and hundreds of conversations confirmed that home baristas wanted a place they could call their own. Sponsors included Sage, Noon, DaVinci Gourmet, Subko, Café Rider and Brewing Gadgets.

Sharjah

The second Home Barista Show moved to Archers Coffee Roastery in Sharjah and introduced a completely new format. Instead of presentations, the focus shifted to hands-on brewing. Every attendee brewed coffee themselves, experimented with equipment and learned through experience rather than observation. Tickets were intentionally limited to 100 people to create a more interactive atmosphere. The event featured the UFO Dripper as the official brewer, Brewista Artisan kettles, Comandante grinders, Acaia scales and Mirzam craft chocolate.

Cape Town

Cape Town became the first Home Barista Show outside the United Arab Emirates and the largest edition to date. Eighty-three tickets sold before the event and another forty-three visitors purchased tickets at the door. The day began with a cupping hosted by Seam Coffee before visitors explored brewing stations, espresso workshops and tasting experiences throughout the venue. La Marzocco South Africa, Seam Coffee, Cape Coffee Beans and Brewing Gadgets helped make the event possible.

Johannesburg

Johannesburg marked another milestone for the Home Barista Show. Hosted by Bean There Coffee Company, the event sold out and reinforced the idea that home brewers learn best by making coffee themselves. Visitors spent the day working with Profitec GO espresso machines and Timemore grinders while learning directly from experienced coffee professionals and fellow enthusiasts. More importantly, the event demonstrated how quickly complete strangers become a coffee community when everyone is encouraged to participate.

Every event helps shape the next one

The Home Barista Show continues to evolve because every edition teaches us something new.

The first event proved there was demand. Sharjah showed that people preferred participation over presentations. Cape Town demonstrated that the concept could grow beyond the UAE. Johannesburg confirmed that the format could build genuine coffee communities in different countries.

Every future Home Barista Show will build on those lessons.

Where to next?
