When I first said the Home Barista Show would take place in every Emirate, I meant it. Not as a slogan. As a promise. Because home brewers live everywhere. And they deserve something made for them.
So here are the two things I want you to take away from this article.
The next Home Barista Show is happening in Sharjah. And the venue is Archers Coffee Roastery.
Sharjah has a growing specialty coffee scene. Archers is one of the most respected roasters in the region. This event matters.

Sharjah is building a specialty coffee community that deserves attention
Sharjah has always had coffee. But in the past two years, its specialty scene has shifted. There are more cafés, more roasters, and more brewers who care. People are tasting with intention. Asking better questions. Paying attention to origin, process, and method.
That kind of culture is what the Home Barista Show was made to support.
This event is not just about exposure or gear. It is about access, learning, and belonging. Sharjah belongs in that story.
Why Archers matters
Archers Coffee Roastery is one of the most respected roasters in the UAE. They source directly from producers. They roast with transparency and consistency. They compete. And they win.
Fred and Kemal, the co-founders, have helped shape the UAE’s specialty coffee landscape. Their work has been recognised internationally. Their coffees are served in top cafés across the region. They have judged competitions, spoken on panels, and spent years refining their craft.
But what has always stood out to me is their consistency. Their focus. Their willingness to do the work quietly and well.
So when Fred and Kemal said yes to hosting the Home Barista Show at Archers, it meant a lot. Not just because I admire them. But because I know they believe in the mission. And that gives this event even more meaning.
A quick look back at the first show in Dubai
The first Home Barista Show was held in Dubai earlier this year. It was small and focused. No stages. No sales pitches. Just people brewing coffee with intention. Guests brewed alongside people who knew how to guide without gatekeeping.
We had giveaways, tastings, and a crowd that stayed until the lights turned off. The event proved something simple. Home brewers want a place to belong.
Sharjah will focus entirely on pourover
Every edition of the show has a different theme. For Sharjah, the focus is pourover brewing.
Pourover is honest. You can see what is happening. You can feel when something is right or wrong. It rewards practice, not perfection. That makes it a perfect anchor for this next event.
Each table at the Sharjah edition will explore a different aspect of the pourover process. Drippers. Kettles. Filters. Pouring techniques. It will be hands on. Quiet. Focused.
Comandante, Acaia, UFO and Mirzam are already on board
Three of the most respected names in coffee gear and craft are already confirmed as sponsors. Comandante. Acaia. Mirzam. UFO. They are not just donating gear. They are standing behind what this show represents.
More sponsors will be announced soon. But these four already give the event depth and credibility.
This is what happens when you focus on people, not hype. When you build something with care.
The next Home Barista Show will be at Archers. And it is going to matter.
