In the world of specialty coffee, where the difference between a good and great cup can come down to fractions of a gram or degrees of heat, the tools we use matter more than ever. And Ceado, the quietly confident Italian manufacturer behind some of the most respected grinders in the industry, has just dropped something big: the REV Series.
This isn’t just a new line of grinders—it’s a reimagining of what a coffee grinder can and should do. Engineered to actively manage every physical parameter that affects espresso extraction, the REV Series is Ceado’s boldest innovation to date—and it’s designed to meet the complex demands of the modern barista.
Who is Ceado?
Based in Spinea, just outside Venice, Ceado was founded in 1999 and has steadily grown into a global leader in coffee grinding, beverage equipment, and brewing systems. Unlike some of its flashier counterparts, Ceado has built its reputation quietly: through engineering precision, reliability, and a relentless pursuit of flavor.
For Ceado, grinding isn’t a mechanical process—it’s part of storytelling.
At Ceado, we don’t just grind coffee. We design flavor, crafting the journey from bean to cup. Every detail serves the greater story of extraction, where precision meets taste. For us, quality isn’t just technical perfection; it’s the art of creating balance, where flavor comes alive. It’s about understanding what it truly takes to bring out the best in every cup, so that each one can tell its own story. – CEO Michele Girardi.
The new REV Series captures this ethos completely.

From passive to active grinding
Most grinders focus on mechanical performance: faster motors, sharper burrs, tighter tolerances. The REV Series goes a step further, taking a holistic and active approach to grinding—by intelligently managing the variables that influence flavor, consistency, and repeatability.
Weight precision
At the heart of any consistent espresso recipe is accurate dosing. The REV Series features Ceado’s patented Weight Adjustment Module (WAM), a system that delivers extremely precise doses with consistency across time, baristas, and coffees. Crucially, the WAM module is fully interchangeable and can be swapped in under two minutes. That makes it a dream for cafés working with multiple coffees or adjusting recipes across shifts.
Retention control
Coffee retention inside a grinder might seem like a minor concern until you’re switching between single origins, dialing in a new roast, or chasing the delicate top notes of a washed Ethiopian. The REV Series addresses this with an enhanced Sweep-Out system, ensuring that each dose is fresh, uncontaminated, and rich in volatile aromatic compounds. It’s a small detail that dramatically improves cup clarity and recipe accuracy.
Grind uniformity under pressure
Heavy service and long hours put strain on most grinders—not just mechanically, but thermally. As grinders heat up, burr spacing can subtly shift, leading to inconsistent particle size and, ultimately, unpredictable extractions. The Steady Lock system in the REV Series keeps the burr distance constant even under load, resisting the effects of thermal expansion and preserving grind uniformity throughout the day.
Temperature stability
Temperature may be the least visible yet most disruptive factor in consistent grinding. The REV Series is equipped with Grounds Temperature Management (GTM), a system that controls thermal accumulation inside the grinding chamber. By maintaining stable temperatures during high-volume service, GTM ensures even extractions and protects flavor integrity—even during the busiest rush.

Three machines, one philosophy
The REV Series includes three models, each tailored to different performance needs, but united by a shared commitment to consistency and control.
- The REV STEEL, equipped with 83 mm flat steel burrs rated for 900 kg of coffee, offers an ideal balance of body and clarity, making it a strong choice for espresso blends.
- The REV TITAN upgrades to 83 mm titanium-coated burrs with a lifespan of 2.5 tons, delivering fast extractions and consistent flavor—especially effective in milk-heavy beverage environments.
- The REV ZERO stands at the top of the range, with 83 mm burrs coated in red speed (a titanium-aluminum blend) for durability up to 4 tons. With its upgraded Sweep-Out system and enhanced temperature and retention control, it’s designed to bring out the maximum aromatic complexity in each shot.
Built for the real world
Beyond its internal systems, the REV Series is engineered for daily life behind the bar. Each model incorporates a 2.5 kg grinding chamber and noise-dampening components that significantly reduce vibration and sound output—an often overlooked detail that matters in quieter café environments.
Ease of maintenance is another major focus. The chute is fully removable, burrs and air filters are accessible without hassle, and the entire grinding chamber can be disassembled with just three screws—no recalibration required afterward.

A smarter, more responsive user interface
The REV Series doesn’t just think like a barista—it feels like one. Its user interface is fully customizable, featuring an adjustable dosing menu layout, an intuitive scroll menu, predictive maintenance alerts, and programmable airflow settings. It also offers five grinding activation modes to match a variety of workflows, making it as adaptable as it is advanced.
Why the REV Series matters
The Ceado REV Series marks a clear evolution in grinder design—one that centers not just on hardware specs, but on the lived experience of extraction. With a focus on freshness, stability, and user control, Ceado has delivered a grinder that understands the barista’s priorities: precision, repeatability, and, above all, flavor.
In an industry increasingly defined by nuance, the REV Series isn’t just keeping up—it’s redefining the pace.
