Host Milano 2025 starts on Friday, and I’ve already marked the booths I don’t want to miss. At the top of that list is Ceado.

I’ve always admired how the Venetian company designs coffee equipment that feels effortless. Their grinders don’t shout for attention. That’s why Ceado at Host Milano 2025 is one of the things I’m most looking forward to this week.

What to expect from Ceado at Host Milano 2025

Ceado will debut two new grinders from its Life series, and both seem like thoughtful evolutions of what the brand already does well.

Life WAM introduces a built-in scale system that measures each dose as it’s ground. For baristas, that means more consistency without constant adjustment. Life X Touch brings a touch screen interface that guides you through grind settings and recipes. Both aim to make precision easier without getting in the way of the workflow.

I want to see how both feel in use. Sometimes “innovation” in coffee means added complexity. Ceado usually finds ways to make things simpler instead.

Why Ceado stands out among Host Milano exhibitors

Host Milano 2025 will be full of new espresso machines, automated systems, and big technology claims. Ceado’s approach is quieter. Their focus has always been on making tools that last and perform in real cafés. They understand that design is not decoration. It’s function refined until nothing unnecessary is left.

That’s what makes their grinders so compelling. They reflect a kind of confidence you rarely see. You can tell they were designed by people who actually make coffee, not by committees.

The details that caught my attention

At this year’s show, Ceado will also demonstrate Self Adjusting Technology, which connects grinders and espresso machines to stay calibrated automatically. They’ll present Built in Technology as well, which integrates Ceado’s grinding system inside fully automatic machines. Both developments aim to reduce inconsistency in high-volume settings.

Their booth at Pavilion 20 (D24 D32 E23 E31) will host roasters like Onyx Coffee Lab, Sweet Bloom, and Ditta Artigianale. I plan to stop by and see how these roasters interact with the new grinders under real pressure.

And then there’s Leon, Ceado’s grinder inspired by Venice. It combines the brand’s technical precision with the kind of craftsmanship that reminds you where it comes from. I’ve only seen photos, so I’m looking forward to seeing it in person.

Ceado always feels different

I write about a lot of equipment, but Ceado always feels different. They remind me that innovation doesn’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s a small refinement that changes how you experience something you do every day.

If you’re attending Host Milano 2025, stop by their booth. Watch how people use the grinders, listen to how they sound, and notice what doesn’t need explaining. That’s often where the real design story hides.

I’ll be sharing updates from the show on FLTR Magazine’s Instagram and posting my impressions throughout the week.

Ceado is where I’ll start.
